kids playroom

Wow I never knew the kids had so much toys. We are banning toy buying for the next little while..... yeah right who am I kidding the next time there's a shiny new dinky they will probably get it because daddy likes them as much as they do.

So my strategy is that we put some of them away and switch them every week or so, keeping only his favourites all the time, Namely his Lightning MacQueen and a few others. |He wor ked so hard at looking at each one and thinking of whether he would need it or not. Finally it was done and he is a great purger.... hold on I have to help put a shirt on he says his belly is cold :) , ok where was I oh yes, he is definitely an awesome purger I think I can learn a lot from him :)

So I helped Connor thee little guy and he kept his trains and a few \Dinky everythin is no right now so i wasn't really sure what he wanted to keep but I knew I was safe keeping his trains....

Today's task is to actually get the space organized!! I love this part but it's not always easy. My dream for this space in the playroom entertainment room is to have a spot for the boys and us to play. There was a big part of it that was not even being used because we thought the kids would play where there toys were but they just bring everything out where we're at... which is awesome why would we want them away from us there will be a time (I'm hoping this doesn't happen) that they don't want to do their thing around us. So now that they do, although you can't watch tv or a movie because of the noise factor, we don't wat to always send them away.

So my master plan, muhahaha, is that a part of that space can be used as a art/craft space. A girl can dream right???

Anyways off to start the process I will keep you posted :)

How does it happen?

I love my kitchen, well I love kitchens. I enjoy the processing of cooking and I love to eat so I love kitchens. I love the fact that everyone can be in the space and all be doing different things. It's a great feeling to be all together and have that time in the times which we live sometimes time all together can be a challenge to have so the kitchen seems to be in our family the logical meeting place where things are made created eaten and where we play board games and table games together.....

The downside is that my kitchen is never, I repeat NEVER as tidy and as neat as I dream of having it. Yesterday it happened I have it all neat and tidy boys were in the playroom and then we went out for the afternoon so it stayed that way. We came home cooked supper and spent time in it and then WHAM! It was disaster zone again!!! Well I comfort myself in the fact that it has the possibility of one day being nice and tidy and neat and now I will have to settle for have it clean and be able to spend time with my family because although the unorganized untidy sometimes kitchen will always be there (Unless I ever make enough to have a maid, she says as she laughs out loud) but my boys years of wanting to play and hang out in my kitchen will pass by quickly. So for now we will ignore the mess and enjoy our kids!!
